Coach Hatmaker is a 1997 graduate of Glenelg HS and has been coaching at the school since 2003. Next year will be his 12th year as Glenelg's boys lacrosse head coach. Since he took over as head lacrosse coach, Glenelg's boys program won Maryland State Championships in 2007, 2008, and 2011. In 2007 Coach Hatmaker was named Maryland's Lacrosse Coach of the Year. In 2008 he was named All-Metro Coach of the Year by the Washington Post, and the Baltimore Sun named him 2011 All-Metro Coach of the Year. Coach Hatmaker was Howard County Coach of the Year in 2006, 2011, and 2012.

Coach Derwent is a 2004 Graduate of Glenelg High School where he played football, basketball, and lacrosse. After high school, Coach Derwent went on to play Division I Lacrosse for Coach Tom Granvante at Mt. St. Mary’s College College in Emmitsburg, MD. Coach Derwent credits Coach Gravante for his love of lacrosse and coaching. At the Mount Coach Derwent served as the captain his senior year in 2008, and he played in 2 MAAC championships. After graduating Coach Derwent starting coaching at Glenelg High School, where he is credited with developing the team’s attack and midfield.
2017 Assistant Coach
Rob played his high school lacrosse at the McDonogh School before playing collegiately at Lynchburg College in Virginia. Rob has coached boys and girls of all ages, from elementary school up to high school. His experience includes coaching teams at the recreation, travel, and club levels. Coach Ferrer is dedicated to advancing the sport of lacrosse, and since 2012 he has been on the Board of Directors for the Howard County Lacrosse Program. Rob also has continued pursuing his passion for the sport by playing with the Glyndon Lacrosse Club in the Maryland Masters League. Rob and his wife Katie live in Clarksville with their three children.
